Pallet Collection in Portsmouth

Pallets pile up. If yours are taking over a yard, blocking a bay or heading for a skip, we can look at collecting them — and depending on what they are, they may be worth something to you rather than costing you.

How a collection works

It starts with a phone call. We ask what the pallets are — size, whether they are timber or plastic, whether they are all one type or a mixed pile — roughly how many there are, what condition they are in, and where they are. Photographs help enormously if you have them.

From that we tell you whether it is a collection we can do, what it is worth, and when we could realistically be with you. On the day, the pallets need to be accessible to a vehicle: stacked flat, in one place, and clear of anything we cannot move. If a forklift is available on site, say so, because it changes how quickly the load goes on.

What affects the value

There is no fixed price list for surplus pallets, and anyone quoting one over the internet before seeing the stack is guessing. The factors that genuinely decide it are:

  • Type — standard, common sizes are worth more than odd or bespoke footprints.
  • Quantity — a full load justifies a vehicle in a way that a handful does not.
  • Condition — whole, dry and reusable is very different from broken or soaked.
  • Consistency — one sorted type beats a mixed pile that has to be graded by hand.
  • Location — how far the vehicle travels and how easy the site is to access.
  • Timing — whether the run fits alongside deliveries already going your way.

We cannot guarantee payment for every collection, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we will do is give you a straight answer before anyone books a vehicle.

Who we collect from

Regular collections come from manufacturers and distributors with steady inbound deliveries, builders' merchants and trade counters, retail and hospitality units with a service yard, event and exhibition companies clearing down after a build, and small workshops that simply end up with more pallets than space.

Many customers combine the two sides of what we do: a delivery of the pallets they need on the same run as a collection of the ones they do not. It saves a journey for everyone.

Collection areas and next steps

We collect across Portsmouth, including Southsea, Cosham, Hilsea and Portchester, and out to Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Waterlooville, Emsworth, Chichester, Petersfield, Hedge End and Bursledon. Larger or planned collections run as far north as Guildford. Portsmouth and the PO postcode area is our core patch and generally the fastest to arrange.

To get moving, have ready: the pallet type and size, an approximate count, an honest description of condition, your postcode, and how the vehicle will access the stack. That is enough for us to tell you where you stand.
